Cotswold Brown Hare

The brown hare has a long history throughout the whole Cotswold area. You will find it represented in place names such as Haresfield and Harescombe. From Roman mosaics and Saxon carvings, the hare is an historical symbol of the Cotswolds. This symbol of natural heritage makes it the ideal animal to represent this unique area.


Within this artwork you will find the whole of the Cotswold ANOB along with the main Cotswold towns and the nearby cities that surround this remarkable protected landscape.
